Dehradun is the educational hub of Uttrakhand and home to prestigious educational institutes. Located in Garwhal region, Dehrabun occupies a beautiful position in Doon valley, adorned like a dazzling jewel in lower Himalayan range. How to Reach Dehradun

Dehradun is located 236 km from the National Capital-Delhi and can be accessed easily from major cities. Reaching the city is very easy at it is well connected by road, air and train. Train journey is highly recommended if you want to soak yourself in the picturesque beauty of mountains.

Reaching Dehradun By Air: Jolly Grant airport is the nearest airport which is just 25 km from Dehradun. Taxis and local buses are easily available from the airport and one can reach easily through motorable roads. Regular flights from Kingfisher, Indian Airlines and Jet Airways run regularly from Delhi to Dehradun.

Reaching Dehradun By Road: One can hire a Volvo, Deluxe or the ordinary class bus easily from ISBT Kashmiri Gate Delhi that will drop you at ISBT, Dehradun. It takes 6 to 8 hours to reach Dehradun from New Delhi but it may get late due to heavy traffic during day-time. So it is advisable to travel in night to avoid traffic issues.

Reaching Dehradun By Train: Traveling by train is one of the best and enjoying modes of transportation to reach Dehradun. It’s a 6 to 7 hours of a beautiful trip from New Delhi to Dehradun. Railway station is just 1 to 2 km away from the city center and there are regular trains that run between Dehradun and other cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Ujjain, Amritsar, Ambala, Varansasi, Allahabad, Indore and Chennai.
